The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and can close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home using a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family income isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all nsfas status check South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are studying or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the 2025 nsfas application last day.
